This is an easy (and cheap) to make scrub that I have use since I was a teen.

Honey Sugar Scrub

Honey is great for your skin. An added benefit of using honey in this scrub is that it contains enzymes that help loosen dead skin. Lemon juice helps tone and reduce acne.

It is such an easy and cheap way to pamper yourself, and a great part of a diy pedicure.

Honey Scrub

  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • enough honey to make a very, very thick paste
  • Optional: 1/2-1 teaspoon lemon juice

Wet face, apply scrub, and let set 3-5 minutes before rubbing in a circular motion. It is kind of gross, but you can feel dead skin begin to roll up.

It is best not stored for long as the sugar begins to settle on the bottom. You can mix it back in, but it is difficult.

I use once a week or every two weeks depending on what my face is feeling like.

Have you ever made a face scrub?
