Aprons & Pearls Linkup

It has been a crazy week, and it is still pretty crazy, so not much chit chat today. I was hoping to have a couple more up this week, but it is not happening!
Sunday you get an extra hour to share your post (or, you know, sleep). Unfortunately kids do not understand time changes, so they are likely to be up extra early here! You might want to set a reminder on your phone to set the clocks back.
Without further ado, on to the linkup!

Homemaking Resources, Recipes, Life, & The Aprons & Pearls Linkup

This past week the kids have been sick for the first time in, well, I cannot really remember. Allergy/coughy/season changing junk. It has made it hard to get stuff done. On top of that, our dishwasher has been on the fritz (yes, I know a lot of people do not even have one, but I have gotten used to it). It has been pretty crazy.
Last week I published a Gluten Free, Real Food Pumpkin Recipe Roundup. I love all things pumpkin.
Tomorrow I am making a dress for girlie’s Halloween costume. She picked the one Backyardigan that doesn’t have a premade costume…. Thankfully the boys are pretty easy!
Does your family hand out candy or treats on Halloween? We do not do much, we let the kids dress up and take them around the block. I make up goodie bags for the neighborhood kids with glow bracelets, candy, and a Gospel of John from The Pocket Testament League. Last year we handed out 40 goodie bags. What other night do you have people coming to you like that?
Today is the last day to snag the 2017 Ultimate Homemaking Bundle. It is my favorite homemaking resource. Even if you are not a full time homemaker, it has some amazing resources (106 of them, at 97% percent off!). If you would like more information on that, you can click here.
A few weeks ago I shared 116 Autumn Inspired Diffuser Blends. This week, my post on mood and energy boosting blends has nearly hit 4,000 views (yes, not a huge deal to many, but it has out done pretty much all of my other posts put together). It has been a bit exciting.
Operation Christmas Child  drop off week is fast approaching! Please take a minute to read about how you can impact a child’s life for Christ. Already know about Operation Christmas Child and want to pack a shoebox or host a shoebox packing party?

I have this thing for pumpkin. September to early December is pumpkin season in our house. I try not to go too crazy since hubby does not love it as much as I do, but I get it in where I can. We try to eat real food (less processed), and we eat gluten free as well, so I wanted to make a round up of gluten free real food pumpkin recipes.

With the exception of one or two that can easily be modified to be gluten free (GF), these are all gluten free. If there are other bits of info about the recipe, I have included them. Some are paleo, keto, dairy free (DF), sugar free (SF), vegetarian, vegan, and soy free.

Aprons & Pearl Linkup

Nothing too exciting this week. I have a couple of posts that are almost done, so keep an eye out for those. Other than working on them bits here and there, I have been trying to declutter and clean up, and balance doing stuff with the kids. Trying to have more productive days. Working on getting better sleep and staying hydrated.
Autumn is in full swing.  I have been alternating between energy boosting oils and autumn scents in the diffuser, and putting on pots of citrus peels and spices to make the house smell like autumn. The weather has been nice so I have had the windows open when I can.
I have so many ideas…just need time to get them into post form!

Aprons & Pearls Link-up

It has been a busy week here in our house. Lots of stuff getting done. Going places. Cooking up yummies in the kitchen. Sick child.
I did not get get to write the post that I wanted to put up yesterday, but I have a couple coming up soon. So stay tuned for that.
I have been freshening things up. It has been beautiful weather, so the windows have been open as much as we can open them. I have been breaking out some natural smell good things. Lighting my beeswax candle. Swapped out my usual mood boosting oil scents for some autumn ones. If only there were a pumpkin essential oil!
There is a pumpkin recipe round-up in the works. “Pumpkin all the things!” is my motto September-November, but October is the main event. Oatmeal and pancakes have been all that I have attempted thus far, but a cheesecake is in the works….
I need to sit down and have a good planning session. Menus, schedules, activities…party planning.  A good brain dump is what I need at this point!
Autumn is indeed here, though we have already been above average temperature wise since it officially started.
Let us get to the linkup!

Autumn is Here & The Aprons & Pearls Linkup

I love each of the seasons. They each have something special. I have shared before why I enjoy autumn. Yesterday I shared 116 Autumn Essential Oil Diffuser Blends.
Things are getting into a nice swing. Things are getting done around the house. All of the kids are running around now. Today was a lovely autumn day. Not too hot, but certainly not cold either. A good day to open some windows for some fresh air.
I have a few autumn inspired posts that I am hoping to write before autumn is over, but we shall see how that goes!
On to the linkup!

116 Essential Oil Diffuser Blends For Autumn

Today I am sharing 116 autumn inspired essential oil blends for your diffuser!
116 Autumn Essential Oil Diffuser Blends @godschicki
Autumn is in the air. If you have been around here long, you know that I like to make our home smell good naturally, and often use essential oils to do it (you can read more about that in Diffusing Essential Oils, 29 Mood & Energy Boosting Essential Oil Diffuser Blends, and Essential Oil Scent Ideas). I have been working on this for a while here and there, but I am finally getting it all together.
As always, safety is very important when using essential oils. Many MLM oil companies advocate unsafe use, so be sure that you make sure the oils that you use are safe for children, and if you are pregnant or nursing (Example, Rosemary should not be used while pregnant or around children under 10, peppermint should be used with caution while nursing and not around children under 10, eucalyptus should not be used around children under 10).
